This page is where readers of Public Editor can select individual journalists, see all articles published about their work, and get the Reporter Bias rating as calculated by their articles reviewed to date. Editorial journalists can be searched on the Editorial Review page, but without bias grades. The table below describes what each grade means.
|A||No bias detected in article. Professional piece, balanced. Good work.|
|B||Some bias, unbalanced, misleading. Could be a blind spot for the editor. Needs improvement. Use as case study at next staff meeting.|
|C||Very biased in part, or somewhat biased in all. Reflects poorly on the publication. Take a refresher course or two in journalism.|
|D||Extremely biased, journalistically unprofessional. Breakdown in professional editing. Print a correction.|
|F||Extremely biased, unworthy of publication. Fire the writer, fire the editor. Print a retraction and apology.|
